Full Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate paediatric clinical pharmacist to join our intensive care team (encompassing paediatric, neonatal and cardiac intensive care) on a fixed term basis for 9
months. You will contribute to the provision of a clinical ward pharmacy service to our intensive care units, including attendance at ward rounds. You will contribute to the writing and updating of unit policies and guidelines and will work closely with your pharmacy, medical, nursing
and EPMA colleagues as an integral part of our well-established multidisciplinary team on a wide range of medicines-related issues in order to optimise the prescribing, administration and usage of, + To deliver a clinical pharmacy service to the Inpatient and Daycare Haematology/Oncology/BMT wards, including screening chemotherapy and its supportive care as required
+ To participate in the standardisation and validation of new chemotherapy protocols including trial protocols
+ To support the Principal Pharmacist in preparing submission for the Drug & Therapeutics Committee.
+ To support the Clinical Trials pharmacist in the setting up and review of clinical trials
+ To lead, support and develop junior pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacists in the rotation by acting as a role model or section manager
+ To support the pharmacists working within the cytotoxic unit with prescription screening, worksheet generation and final release of products as required
+ To participate in departmental and multidisciplinary audit/research activities, to ensure that cost-improvement and quality targets are met
There will be ample opportunity to develop the services to the ward and within pharmacy, for patients with cancer in either NHS or international private patients environments.

medicines within the intensive care speciality. This post will include on-call and some late duty/weekend/bank holiday working. To be eligible for this post, experience in delivering a clinical pharmacy service to paediatric intensive care patients is essential. You must hold a postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in clinical pharmacy, possess excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear commitment to patient safety.
