Full Job Description

As a senior clinical physiotherapist you will be responsible for delivering high quality assessment, exercise rehabilitation and lifestyle
behavioural change for patients living with overweight and obesity within the Healthy Living service. Part of the work will include operationally supporting the weight management services the Healthy Living team provides across South East London.
The work will be based in mixed environments; remotely, in the physiotherapy dept. at St Thomas' and Guy's Hopsital, and at community venues across South East London.
You will be responsible for team training and development, line management and visible leadership. You will be responsible for students on placement and some undergraduate teaching at King's College London Physiotherapy School.
You will work closely with the wider obesity team and be expected to participate in ongoing research work the team have developed, leading and supervising team projects and actively contributing to research outputs., Clinical - responsible for delivering high quality assessment, exercise rehabilitation and lifestyle behavioural change for patients living with overweight and obesity within the Healthy Living service.
Managerial / Leadership - To participate with the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist in responding to and initiating service developments including implementing/developing guidelines and protocols, which may impact on wider service delivery. In conjunction with other members of the physiotherapy team, to develop physiotherapy guidelines, protocols and /or research with particular reference to the intersection of physical, dietary, and pyschosocial dysfunctions of patients living with obesity.
Research and Audit - To develop, participate and lead as appropriate in physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary audits, service evaluation projects, case series, and research related to the clinical area including data collection, analysis and development of action plans as part of the Physiotherapy initiatives. To be active in research outputs.
Education and Professional Development - To keep up-to-date with current theory and evidence based practice in the field of physiotherapy management of behaviour change and exercise science and the dietary
physiology of weight loss presented by the adult overweight/obese patient population.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist who is confident in team-working for the benefit of a diverse patient group, capable of
developing skills in a new and developing service, are flexible with their working week, have experience of working with exercise interventions for
people who are living with overweight or obesity, and who are research active.
