We support flexible working arrangements wherever possible., Assume the role as a key member of the Energizer's Hearing Aid Battery team which includes directing the efforts of professional, skilled and production workers toward project related goals. Primary focus is Support the Molding Department in daily operations, including setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection molding equipment. The focus is on ensuring consistent production quality, improving efficiency, and minimizing downtime by collaborating with the Engineering team and production staff.,

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist in setting up molds and machines according to production schedules and specifications
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on molding equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the molding process, including machine malfunctions, part defects, and quality concerns
  • Assist in the development and improvement of molding processes to enhance product quality and reduce costs
  • Provide technical support and training to production workers on molding operations, inspection methods, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new technologies
  • Record and analyze production data, including cycle times, scrap rates, and machine efficiency, to identify areas for improvement
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required

    5+ years' experience in Injection Moulding, Setup, Problem Solving and System Design
  • An apprentice time served or graduate engineer
  • Basic knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and quality inspection methods
  • Experience with routine maintenance tasks and the ability to use hand tools
  • Experience leading small teams, assisting with training including guidance for operators and Toolmakers
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing but not in heavy industry
  • A good appreciation of tight tolerances (0.005mm)
  • Detailed knowledge of polymers and changes of state through the moulding process
  • Candidates will need to demonstrate good teamwork and problem-solving skills as there is a need to work closely with others to successfully complete individual and plant objectives throughout the year
