Senior Staff Nurse

We have a permanent, full time, Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse vacancy at Islington Integrated Sexual Health Service , Archway Centre. The post-holder will be responsible for delivering a high standard of sexual and reproductive health care to patients. This will include delivering nurse-led clinics for Sexual Health and contraception. To take charge of the clinic shift on a regular basis according to rota, as well as supporting health care support workers and medical staff. The post holder will facilitate the learning experience and environment for nurses (both pre and post registration) and other health professionals undergoing training and education in the department. This will include supervising and mentoring students undertaking contraceptive and sexual health courses.

• Previous experience in Sexual Health at Band 5.
• Have a contraception qualification or willing to train.
• High level of flexibility with a proactive approach to nursing.
• Ability to work with male and female patients and young people; and an understanding of the needs of these groups in relation to their sexual health.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have a motorship or assessor qualification or willing to learn.
• Experience of working with PGD's.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Early and Late shifts are included in the clinic rota
  
  Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic RN to join our Sexual Health Services in Islington based at the Archway Centre.
The Archway Centre are a large team providing Level 3 Sexual Health services across Islington. We provide all sexual health and contraception care for male and female patients, including the provision of PEP, PrEP and Emergency contraception and LARC methods of contraception.
