Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced registered neonatal nurses to join our Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse team on the Neonatal Unit at Hull University Teaching Hospital. The post holders will be welcomed into a substantial and supportive Neonatal team.

We are looking for highly motivated and dynamic Neonatal Nurses who can provide clinical expertise in the delivery of specialist care to neonates and their families. You will need to demonstrate leadership within the team, with excellent communication skills and be able to provide a supportive culture for teamwork and learning.

Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust NICU is a well-established level 3 Tertiary unit within the Yorkshire & Humber Neonatal Network. The Neonatal Service comprises of 33 cots in total 7 Intensive Care, 10 High Dependency, 12 Special Care and 4 Transitional care providing a high quality service to the network and beyond., We would expect that any applicants would share our trust values of being honest, accountable and caring to achieve our vision of Great care, Great staff, Great future. The successful applicant will play a vital role within the team in both staff and service development. You will be expected to co-ordinate care on a daily basis and deputise for the Junior Sister in her absence. Participation in audits, benchmarking and undertaking some managerial responsibilities will also be a vital part to this role. Good communication and team building skills, and the ability to support and develop staff are essential.
