Senior Staff Nurse CCU

You must have significant experience in Critical Care and have already gained the ITU Course. In return for your intensive care expertise we will support you in learning the specialities within our unit through education and experience.
As a unit we are a well-resourced speciality and offer excellent career development opportunities to develop both professionally and personally; we encourage and support our nurses to actively contribute to our continuing development. We encourage participation in regular Simulation training.

+ Supporting junior staff
+ Leading the team on a shift by shift basis
+ Reviewing staffing
+ Taking referrals
+ Bed management within unit
+ Attending hospital bed meetings
+ Attending MDT meetings and meetings with family members

With the recent addition of video led 'virtual' consultations we also enable patients who have some distance to travel to avoid the additional stress and worry of a long journey.
