Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic paediatric nurse wishing to expand their skills and knowledge working with children and young people requiring night time bed wetting enuresis support and advice. The successful candidate will receive training and support to enable them to work autonomously with school age children and their families to empower them in management of their own night time enuresis care needs. The post holder will be supported to develop their knowledge and clinical skills to be able to lead enuresis clinics. The post holder must be able to analyse simple enuresis data, for example, client lists of initials, reviews and follow ups. Administration support will be provided for booking clinics, telephone support and support with general booking enquiries. Clinical support staff will lead the alarm clinics and will work closely with the Enuresis Lead Nurse. Training and development opportunities will be provided and you will attend Eric training and their
updates to remain up to date with bladder conditions in children. You will also follow NICE guidelines Bedwetting in under 19s.

You will support children and families with their night time enuresis needs
The post holder will be responsible for facilitating effective enuresis support to enable the young person to be dry at night. You will also identify when additional support may be required for example the use of an alarm or medication.
The post holder will provide clinical supervision to other staff and will be responsible for the competency assessment of training nurses and support staff. The post holder will also support student observation within the clinical area, you will be expected to be innovative and flexible. You will lead clinical audits in own specialist area and you may also support research.
The post holder will work collaboratively with their peer enuresis lead nurse across the School Nursing Service. They will ensure the safety and well-being of services users, and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person centred care principles.
