Full Job Description

Supports the team during interventional radiology cases in x-ray, CT and ultrasound.

To assist in the provision of expert advice and interventions within radiology that maintains and improves standards of care and promotes a seamless service within a multi-professional framework.

The post holder will demonstrate the skills for assessing and interpreting specialist acute and other patient conditions, initiating actions as appropriate.

Supports the Radiology department by providing a high standard of care for both in-patients and out-patients

Contribute to the principles of clinical governance, ensuring that quality standards are set and monitored. Ensure that clinical risk management and clinical audit are an integral part and carried out

Contribute towards a multi-professional approach in the management of patients within Interventional Radiology and Imaging.

Assume leadership duties during the absence of the designated lead nurse; lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure effective patient care

What you will bring
Evidence in health / nursing-related studies with on-going personal and professional development

Registered Nurse with radiology knowledge and experience

Able to use own initiative and ability to work as part of the team.

Ability to work flexible hours to meet the service requirement.

Ability to lead and change new ways of working.

Strong organisational skills working across many modalities.

Hours: This role is a 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, service covered between 8am-8pm plus on call service
