Are you already a band 6 Senior Staff Nurse who would like to challenge themselves to a different environment for a short period? Secondments are great for a change or to try out a different speciality whilst safeguarding your current role.
If you are new to medicine, you never know - you might fall in love with it. The work will challenge you but it is so rewarding and takes a special person to do it. Are you that person?
This advert is open to all applicants with an active Nursing and Midwifery Council Personal Identification Number (PIN). This refers to an NMC PIN, which allows you to work as a registered nurse or midwife in the UK.

Virtual interviews are not an option, We like to be prepared in Acute & General Medicine and having opened a winter ward for the last 4yrs running, we are preparing to do the same this winter.
+ A Winter Medical Ward: would comprise beds on the St Thomas's Site. The plan is to open December/January
In Acute & General Medicine we pride ourselves on our expertise in complex patient management and discharge planning. The variety and scope of care of a winter ward is no less challenging but meeting the needs of our diverse patient base is extremely rewarding.
The Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse's key responsibility is to form part of the senior team that ensure that the patient experience is of the highest quality inspiring patient and public confidence.
Through strong clinical leadership the post holder will role model and support the team to promote excellence in nursing care, maintaining and improving clinical standards.
The post holder will ensure that all patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect promoting best practice in the prevention of infection.
In collaboration with the Matron and members of the Senior Nursing Team, the post holder will be closely involved in the planning, delivery and implementation of patient care.
