Are you a qualified Fuels & Lubricants Operator or have Fuels & Lubricants Logistics Knowledge/Experience, that you can transfer your skills to support an Aeronautical Engineering training Environment and the wider whole force community ? This vacancy is based at RAF Cosford, Albrighton Wolverhampton W Mids, WV7 3EX.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week., The Senior Storekeeper Position is within the Fuels and Lubricants Section of the Logistics Sqn, part of Operational Support Wing, Logistics Sqn. The vacancy is for a Skill Zone 3 member of staff who will be required to work F/T 37hrs.
The Incumbent will be required to work in a small team of 2 as part of the Fuels and Lubricants Section but will also be required to provide support to the Technical Stores, Receipt & Dispatch, salvage hanger and ESG Stores teams.
The tasks of the role are critical to the management of the Materiel Account (MA) and integrity of physical stocks and storage . The Senior Storekeeper acts as an interface between the Logistics Sqn and our extremely large customer base. This Post supports a collection and delivery service for all Fuels and Lubricants products issued and receipted and provides support to over 344 Inventory Holders, parented formations, including Outward Bound Activity Centre FDTC Crickhowell and ATC/CCFs, and provides support for personnel and Squadrons in operational theatres with external operational demand solutions. Duties also include the quality control, issue, receipt and storage of Bulk Aviation fuel Avgas and ground fuel diesel. This post also carries the additional responsibility for the control, issue, correct storage, handling and disposal of Hazardous Waste Fuels and Lubricant products and their final disposal through the Defence Equipment Sales Authority (DESA) ensuring all
Environmental Regulations and Legislation are adhered to for the disposal of hazardous waste and forms part of the Unit Spillage response team. The post is also responsible for the control, issue, correct storage, handling and disposal of compressed gases.

+ The correct Storage & Handling of Bulk Fuels Diesel & Avgas on the MTFI & BFI
+ Quality Control of Bulk Fuel Products, Quality Assurance Checks, Sampling, Water Checks, Daily, Weekly & Monthly Dips
+ The Accurate Accounting of Bulk Fuels via the Ground Fuels Managements System (GFMS) & Bulk Fuel Inventory Solution (BFIS)
+ Accurate Accounting of Stocks on GFMS, BFIS & MJDI. Monthly Stats Reporting to A4 Fuels, Daily F222s for Avgas & Diesel, Avgas F776s
+ Ensuring Correct Control, Storage & Handling of Gas Cylinders, Carry out Receipts, Issues, Returns & Orders of Cylinders ensuring correct Documentation Paperwork is raised. Liaising with Inventory Holders, Sections & nominated supplier for all transactions
+ Control, Storage, Collection & Disposal of Station Generated Hazardous Waste Packed Stocks, F&L Hazardous Waste & Soft Haz Waste, Bulk Waste Oil & Bulk Aviation Fuel Waste, Waste Can. Maintain a Register of Station F&L Lockers & Hazardous Waste 205 Ltr Drums
+ Carry Out Stocktaking, Snap Checks
+ Conduct quality assurance activities as applicable
+ Act as Team Member or Lead of Site Spillage Response Team
+ Carry Out Driving Duties of the Section Vehicle, Forklift Truck & Operating MHE as & when required
+ Colour Perception. The minimum colour perception standard for Installation Operators is CP2.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working.
