Full Job Description

The Hybrid Cloud Services Supplier Management Team play a central role in supporting the commercial lifecycle and supplier relationships on behalf of the very busy Delivery area.
As a Senior Supplier Manager, you will manage and prioritise requirements through to procurement, lead on and oversee more complex procurements across their lifecycle. You will manage the resource and non-resource Cost Models for specific procurements, providing financial management and reporting. You will lead on stakeholder management and issue resolution.
You will lead on all procurement options, including re-use of current contracts, working with our Commercial Business Partners on the end-to-end procurement process. You will manage the governance process for contracts, ensuring they deliver cost savings, value for money and Business needs are met.
This new function to Hybrid Cloud Services is working to develop and implement new processes to manage the governance, Finance and Commercial activity, in line with standard Supplier Management requirements. The implementation of the new processes, together with delivery of the high workload has resulted in the requirement for experienced supplier management resource., As a Senior Supplier Manager, you will be also be responsible for:
+ Managing suppliers to meet key performance indicators and agreed targets
+ Managing implementation of supplier service improvement actions
+ Use suppliers' expertise to support and inform development roadmaps
+ Managing operational relationships between suppliers. Ensures potential disputes or conflicts are raised at an early stage, with clear escalation paths for resolving them
+ Performing bench-marking and makes use of supplier performance data to ensure that supplier performance is properly monitored and regularly reviewed
+ Identify constraints and opportunities when negotiating or renegotiating contracts
Contract Management Responsibilities
+ Oversee and measure the fulfilment of contractual obligations
+ Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and challenge performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
+ Develop strategies to address under-performance and compliance failures, including application of contract terms, When giving details in your employment history and personal statement you should highlight your experience in line with essential criteria listed in the Person Specification.

Salary Information
Pay for this role is from £40,201 to £43,347.
Our offer to successful candidates will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated at interview.
Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer should maintain their current salary.
Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion may move to the bottom of the next grade pay scale or 10% increase in salary whichever would be the greater.
