Full Job Description

  • Assist the Manager in running the home efficiently and caringly in their absence.

  • Ensure a handover is carried out, accounting for all residents at the start and end of each shift.

  • Help with daily medication administration.

  • Ensure staff contribute to a homely, friendly, and supportive atmosphere, leading by example.

  • Support the training and development of all staff.

  • Support residents with personal care, promoting independence, dignity, and respect.

    Ideally a minimum of NVQ 2 working towards NVQ Level 3 or above (Although this can be arranged).

  • Ability to support, motivate and lead staff and to be a team player.

  • Be practical and help to provide solutions to and problems or issues and to help create improved ways of working.

  • Communicate and interact effectively with both residents and staff.

  • You must like dogs, terrible singing, having fun with our residents and most of all a desire and passion to help support and improve people lives.

    Strathmore Lodge is seeking a Senior Support Worker in St Albans.

    We are a private residential care home for the elderly with a maximum capacity of 19 residents.
