Full Job Description

March Supported Living and Respite Service is based in the Fenland town of March. The service provides adults with a learning disability access to short term respite and supports tenants living in a range of bungalows and houses. The role of Senior Support Worker is to lead a staff team of Support Workers to support and empower adults with a learning disability to enhance the quality of their life, maximise their potential and to continue to promote and develop independence skills within their home, the community, or within a supported unit or whilst accessing respite, The Senior Support Worker supervises a team of Support Workers and provides support, training and ongoing supervision, ensuring continued high quality care and compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines. The shifts are on a 4-week rota which could be subject to change to meet service need. Shifts will be during the week, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays (between 7am- 10pm). Additional enhancements are paid for weekends and Bank Holidays. You will be required to work one weekend in four and complete sleep ins. The post available is 30 hour per week. As this role is part time, it does not meet the salary requirements to offer sponsorship. The starting pay for the posts is £14.36 per hour with enhancements for Sat £21.54, Sun £25.56 and bank holidays £28.72.
