Would you like to join a new team in leading support workers and supporting individuals with trauma and mental health needs, integrating back into the community?, We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Support worker to guide and influence the daily operations of a dedicated support team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that individuals receive exceptional care and support tailored to their unique needs. This is an opportunity to lead a team, inspire positive outcomes, and shape the future for individuals who may have challenging behaviours, mental health conditions, autism, or other complex needs. Your role will involve promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and providing practical and emotional support tailored to each persons needs using the Trauma informed model. We are looking for someone with experience in supporting a team and people we support who have had traumas in their life, suffer with mental health conditions using positive behaviour support and encouragement in their day to day lives., o Lead, motivate, and direct a team of support workers to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
o Develop and oversee individualised care plans, ensuring they are effectively implemented and reviewed.
o Provide hands-on support to individuals with complex behaviours, acting as a role model for best practices.
o Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing regular supervision, training, and development opportunities.
o Ensure compliance with all organisational policies and regulatory standards.
o Liaise with families, other Mysa care and external professionals to coordinate care and promote well-being.
o Identify and address risks, promoting a safe and supportive environment for staff and individuals.
o Manage rotas, resources, and documentation to ensure smooth service delivery., We are committed to recruiting diverse, talented people, who share our passion for making a difference in peoples lives and supporting them to achieve their chosen goals and wishes.
o Previous experience in a supervisory role within the care sector, ideally working with individuals displaying complex behaviours.
o Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
o A compassionate, professional approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
o Knowledge of positive behaviour support (PBS) and strategies for managing challenging behaviours.
o A commitment to continuous improvement and person-centred practices.
o Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
o Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
