Senior Surveyor

As Senior Surveyor you will manage a diverse caseload of property work which will contribute to the effective and efficient use of the Council's property assets. Reporting to the Principal Surveyor and working with the Estates Team you will ensure that all opportunities are explored across the let and corporate estates to effectively manage the income, maximise rental and capital opportunities and reduce operating costs. You will enjoy working with a range of partners and be able to engage effectively with stakeholders across all sectors., You will work as part of the Housing, Property & Corporate Assets Team, a multi-disciplinary team that provides property related advice and support across a wide range of Council projects and services.

You should have full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). You will have experience of working either in a local authority property environment or in the commercial sector.

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and demonstrate effective negotiation skills with third party businesses, developers, property professionals and external stakeholders.
