As a Senior Surveyor you will be expected to:
Assist the Repairs and Maintenance Manager with delivery across a range of Repairs and Maintenance services including VOIDS, Reactive repairs, Grounds Maintenance, Communal Cleaning and Facilities Management within a multi-disciplinary team ensuring projects are delivered within allocated timescales, within budget and to a high quality, in a highly customer focused manner.
Assist with management of Repairs and Maintenance contracts to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget to agreed standards and comply with all legislation and statutory obligations ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Design, survey, report and specify works required for repairs and maintenance projects, including resident communication, prestart & progress meetings, supervision of contractors, and inspection of works, effective contract administration, variations and handovers.
Assist with the preparation of works proposals, including option appraisals, feasibility studies, maintenance reports and specific defect reports including site inspections and surveys
Assist with financial planning, budget setting and monitoring during the delivery of all works.
Liaise with customer services, neighbourhood teams and asset colleagues to ensure smooth handover of projects, including dealing with defects.
Ensure compliance with statuary obligations, Construction Design and Management Regulations, building regulations, planning, Health and Safety Act and all other current legislation.
Preparation & monitoring of statistical information relating to contract performance to ensure that projects and services are delivered to key performance targets.
Manage and support staff within a multi-disciplinary team including performance and contract management to ensure efficiency and productivity is achieved whilst ensuring value for money is delivered.

Ensure that all complaints and requests for service are actioned by the contractor and provide a customer focused service to ensure that all the customers concerns have been identified and resolved.
Ensure all completed works are monitored and agree variations with the contractor ensuring service level requirements are not breached.
Management of an extensive legal disrepair workload while co-ordinating actions to reduce repairs in properties were a high volume has been recorded
Meet appraisal targets and support the delivery and achievement of overall business objectives.

Recognised building qualification at HNC level or Substantial experience in social housing Repairs and Maintenance.
Full driving license and use of a car for work purposes.
Experience of using bespoke ICT systems and the ability to adapt quickly to new software.
Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure works are prepared within target dates and controlled within budget.
Control and management of works within time cost and budgetary constraints.
Ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks to fixing and exacting timescales.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels including customers, consultants, contractors and employees.
Ofqual regulated CIH Qualification or the commitment to work towards.
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
Relevant professional membership qualification or willing to undertake training to obtain one.
Practical experience of contract management.
Experience of attending tenant and residents' meetings.
Knowledge of legislation relating to Building Works and Health and Safety Regulations.
Knowledge of related professional disciplines involved in building construction projects, including their duties and responsibilities

Competitive salary - £46,200.00
Hours - 36 per week (Monday-Friday).
