Full Job Description
Raytheon is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer - Field Service, you will join our Centralized Field Engineering (CFE) organization providing operational support for the United States Air Force worldwide deployable program. This onsite unaccompanied role is mission essential and will be in Fairford, England on an international assignment with additional compensation. What You Will Do
- Perform product implementation, modifications, and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
- Focused on team-oriented tasks while supporting the customer's mission and initiatives.
- Ensure training requirements (customer and company) are kept up to date and completed ahead of schedule.
- Monitor, analyze and characterize the performance of complex data processing systems.
- Trace isolated faults and distinguish between hardware and software fault sources.
- Recommend, initiate, and oversee actions to correct faults.
- Maintain sensor equipment on aircraft.
- Provide support on the U.S. Air Force flight-line to operate and conduct pre-mission activities.
- Provide support for aircraft checkout prior to flights.
- Integrate and updated software and hardware.
- Work with a diverse team of users, analysts, and other contractor personnel, and customers. Special Work Circumstances
- Working rotating shifts is required.
- Travel and long working hours are anticipated.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds and able to sit for long periods of time. - Must be willing and able to get all inoculations required by the US military.
- Must be able and ready to deploy anywhere in the world at a moment's notice.
- Must be willing and able to deploy to environments that may include harsh living conditions (extreme heat and cold, deployed living conditions, etc.). Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignment including comprehensive post-offer medical examination. Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with military, data processing, system administration, radar, IR, or radio frequency.
- Experience and expertise in sensor payload maintenance.
- Experience using UNIX.
- Comprehension of RADAR philosophy.
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Air Force Flight line courtesies and regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Solaris.
- Ability to deploy anywhere in the world at a moment's notice.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications
- Additional years of experience or a combination of experience, education, and training / military will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience with Aircraft maintenance and flight line.
- Experience / knowledge using Military Equipment accounts and Integrated Maintenance Data Systems (IMDS).
- Experience working with SAR imagery.
- Experience reading electrical wiring schematics and diagrams for system troubleshooting.
- Experience performing electrical wiring and cannon plug repairs.
- Experience in using soldering station.
- Experience using digital fiber optic scope and power meters to perform fiber optic inspection / maintenance.
- Ability to maintain shop programs as directed by AFI policy with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in use of digital oscilloscope, signal generators and multi meter.
- Excellent teamwork skills interacting productively with end users, analysts, other internal personnel, and customers in a diverse team setting.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
