Full Job Description

We actively promote flexible working in the Systems team and this role can allow you to be flexible around your personal circumstances for example school run times.

The Systems team requires an enthusiastic individual focussed to supporting systems being used within the Place directorate. This role may move to additionally focus on other corporate IT systems used by the Council.

You will need to balance day to day maintenance and administration of systems with system improvement projects.

You will have responsibility to manage and successfully deliver those projects

The position will sit within the Systems team but will work closely with colleagues in the Place directorate and other areas of the Council.

You will need great attention to detail and the ability to problem solve in a systems environment, plus you will play a key part in user acceptance testing for new functionality.

You will have the ability to analyse, manipulate and report complex data sets to help inform corporate decision making.

The ability to identify and develop improvements, work with services to understand their needs and translate these into operating systems will be a vital role for the successful applicant.

It would be beneficial to have the ability to work across systems and be able to learn new systems quickly.
