Further details about the role Key Outputs: 1. To oversee a designated group of students, monitoring and adapting their provision to ensure engagement, progress and attainment. 2. Working within the framework set by the teacher and within an agreed system of supervision to undertake the delivery of specific interventions to a small group of students 3. To contribute to Individual Support Plans, sensory profiles and learning journals to support teachers. 5. To promote the support and inclusion of all students in the learning activities in which they are involved and communicate effectively to support their learning and maintain high expectations of all students to achieve. 6. To collaborate with the specialist teachers in monitoring and evaluating student responses to the learning tasks and modify approaches accordingly. 7. To monitor and evaluate student participation and progress through a range of assessment activities and provide constructive support and feedback to students as they learn and report back to the teacher as specified. 8. To contribute to the maintaining and analysing of students' records of progress as specified within the teachers' framework. 9. To organise and manage safely the learning activities, the physical teaching space and resources within the designated area of responsibility. 10. Organise, design and deliver lunchtime, before and after school activities for vulnerable pupils across the school. 11. Plan, monitor and evaluate students' learning. Ensuring the progress is clearly recorded in the relevant systems and related to the learning objectives/goals for students. 12. Deliver appropriate interventions to maximise student progress. 13. Develop positive relationships with parents/carers and work in collaboration to secure the best outcomes for students. 14. Plan, monitor and evaluate students' learning. Liaise with teachers, pastoral staff and external agencies to ensure the needs of all students are met. 16. Work in collaboration with the specialist teachers to deliver a robust transition process for new students and those moving onto college. 17. Ensure relevant equipment and materials are suitable for the designated learning activities. 18. Contribute effectively to the research, selection and preparation of teaching resources that meet the diversity of pupils' needs and interests. 19. Support the class teacher with resourcing lessons as needed. 20. Support classroom teachers with amending resources to support effective teaching and planning for learners within the provision. 21. Plan and deliver CPD sessions for staff. 22. To undertake any other duties associated with the role, as may be decided by your line manager of the Headteacher.

    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Teaching Assistant to join the outstanding team in our Additionally Resourced Provision at Royds Hall, A SHARE Academy.,
  • Have a good level of experience of working with pupils with special educational needs, in particular children with communication and interaction needs and autism.
  • Encourage, motivate and inspire young people through the support they give in order to encourage their learning.
  • Have experience of working with secondary pupils in school for at least 2 years.
