Full Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will find yourself responsible for delivering a broad range of technical projects internally and for our external clients. These will range in scope, complexity, duration and size according to the specific projects - giving a great variety to the role. At Sentec you will be working in a rapidly evolving industry at an exciting time for technologists developing solutions for the sustainability agenda. In order to be successful, you will need to demonstrate leadership in pursuit of technical solutions and novel ideas, have a hands-on approach to problem solving and ultimately managing projects against time, budget and client expectations. The position is largely based in our Cambridge office however you will have the opportunity for some travel UK-wide, within Europe or the United States. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage several Technical R&D projects simultaneously,
  • Prioritize and manage your work
  • Facilitator to our project teams, enabling them to achieve project goals
  • Support inclusive and open project working
  • Manage risks, opportunities and expectations, ensuring technical leads and internal stakeholders are consulted
  • Contribute to proposals for new projects and identify additional project opportunities
  • Work with other project managers to balance the workload for all

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Participation in activities as part of our corporative responsibility program Watermark, Please note that this a senior-level role, so proven experience of managing technical R&D projects is important
  • Technical or Scientific degree or background and experience
  • Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Project Management qualification(s) are desirable but not essential
  • Experience of project management tools and methodologies would be an advantage however this is not as important as the correct approach to complex challenges
