Full Job Description

As a Senior Technical Underwriter, you'll be the go-to expert for technical queries, leading the charge on refining underwriting guidelines, and developing the skills of our underwriting community. You'll work closely with our Head of Technical Underwriting to drive change, craft policy wordings, and contractual documentation. Sound like a challenge you're up for?,

  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and refine underwriting guidelines and policies
  • Proactively support the business in improving the underwriting process, reducing leakage, and delivering a top-notch customer proposition
  • Use data analytics to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement in underwriting processes and pricing
  • Mentor and coach underwriting staff to ensure a consistent approach and conduct peer reviews to support learning and development
  • Work with our Reporting & Pricing Analyst to develop new analytical tools and methodologies
  • Ensure consistency in contractual and policy documentation with company standards
  • Collaborate with QGU, Legal & Claims to align wordings with underwriting intent

    Salary £45-55000 DOE
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service)
