Senior Technician - Anatomy Demonstrator (Part-time / Variable)

The School of Biosciences are excited to offer a new role, supporting student learning within the Anatomy Centre by acting as an anatomy demonstrator.

The role-holder will work within a small team of specialist demonstrators and be required to contribute to the delivery of Anatomy practical's and workshops by providing learning support and feedback in line with Cardiff University expectations. The post holder will also be required to produce and prepare teaching materials for practical sessions and be involved with the organisation and delivery of assessments.

Candidates should have a medical/biomedical/life science background, with previous experience working in an anatomy environment. They should also be confident using their own initiative, planning, organising, and setting priorities for their own work.

This is a variable hour contract, with availability of hours varying throughout the year (currently estimated at 200h-300h per annum, subject to review).

Salary: £27,344 - £30,505 per annum, pro-rata for hourly rate worked (Grade 4). This is a fixed term position for a period of 3 years. Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
