This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced passenger transport professional to join our Information & Ticketing Team to provide strategic and operational support to our wider Local Bus Team.
Reporting to the Senior Transport Officer, you'll be working closely with a wide range of partners, both internal and external, including our bus operators, suppliers, and contractors and as part of our various stakeholder boards and forums.

+ Assist with the compilation and delivery of timetable data for the Traveline public transport route planner service, and other ticketing software and initiatives.
+ Oversee the administration of bus service registrations received by the County Council.
+ Maintain the County Council's on-street and on-line publicity and information services. Including ticketing promotions and marketing campaigns.
+ Work with the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) team, Senior Managers, staff in departments across the Council, and Enhanced Partnership (EP) Board Members to support and facilitate the successful delivery of the Council's BSIP.
+ provide financial updates and budgetary support to colleagues and Senior Officers.
This list is not exhaustive, take a look at our comprehensive job profile for more detail.

+ Experience of passenger transport services, from a strategic and/or operational delivery aspect.
+ Knowledge and understanding of both statutory and regulatory aspects of passenger transport operations.
+ Knowledge of public transport funding initiatives including sustainable transport projects.
+ Knowledge of budgetary management and monitoring.
+ Commercial awareness of bus industry costs, revenues and promotional opportunities
+ Project and programme management skills.

+ The drive and determination to 'make a difference' for the people of Derbyshire.
Derbyshire is a wonderful place to live, visit and work. The post will be based at County Hall at Matlock, in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales. As part of our Modern Ways of Working programme we are currently working on a hybrid basis which includes flexible office/on-site/home working arrangements - there'll be an opportunity to discuss future working arrangements at interview.
And what's in it for you?
+ Up to 30 days of annual leave (dependent on Local Government length of service)
+ Flexible working scheme allowing up to an additional 2 days off per month
+ Generous local government pension scheme
+ Guaranteed incremental annual pay increases
+ Discounts at selected county leisure centres
+ Cycle to work scheme
