The ideal candidate will be skilled and experienced in orthopaedic scrub .
Weston theatres is a small, friendly unit with a real passion for delivering the highest standards of care. We have 6 theatres; 2 in our Surgical Day Case Unit and 4 in our Main Theatre Unit.
We cover a wide range of specialities including general & colorectal surgery, breast surgery, urology, gynaecology, orthopaedics and trauma.
We have a small but busy recovery unit and staff will be expected to cover this area during the week and at weekends. There is an expectation to work across Surgical Day Case Unit, Theatre Receiving Unit and our Surgical Day Case Ward, as and when required.
The working pattern you would be expected to fulfil will include a range of shifts as well as nights, weekends and to be part of the on-call rota., To work according to the Nursing and Midwifery Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines to provide a high standard of patient care using a flexible patient centred care approach.
To provide an expert level of professional practice within Theatres/ SDCU, and to be responsible for the management of a theatre nursing team, providing advice, information and support.
To actively support the sister/charge nurse, assisting in the safe, effective and efficient management of the department and deputising in their absence., the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
