Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work within the Vascular Service in Glan Clwyd Hospital, as a Band 4 Therapy Assistant. This is a permanent post working 37.5 hours per week. This post is also available as a band 3 to band 4 developmental post for those that do not have the required experience to start as a Band 4. The successful applicant would work through competencies over an agreed period to achieve the Band 4 position.
This successful post holder will support the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic intervention and enable safe and timely discharges from the vascular ward. The successful candidate will carry their own caseload under the supervision of the therapists. Significant up to date experience of working within adult physical health is essential.

Excellent communication skills are required. Computer proficiency is needed as documentation is electronic and equipment ordering is via an electronic system. There will also be various administration tasks involved on a day-to-day basis.
This post will form an integral part of the team and essential to support the delivery of the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy service provided to vascular patients.
