Full Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Therapy Technical Instructor to join the Medical Therapies Directorate at Royal Stoke University Hospital, working within the Frail Elderly Therapies Team. This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week. The successful applicant will be involved in early rehabilitation and discharge planning for the frail elderly population, working with a range of different conditions. Therefore, the applicant should have an awareness of rehabilitation and discharge planning. Supervision will be provided by the Band 6 / 7 Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist and continuous professional development is supported through appraisal and internal and external training. Therapy Services work within a 7 day shift system therefore the post holder will be required to work weekends and bank holidays as part of their role. Main duties of the job The Therapies Department comprises of two multidisciplinary based teams, the Medical & Surgical Team and the Network Services Team, incorporating both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. These teams form part of the Trust Medical, Surgical and Network Services Divisions. Each team is led by a Divisional Therapist, Mrs Noeleen Hellis leads the Network Services Therapy Team, Mrs Jane Teasdale leads the Medical & Surgical Therapy Team & Mrs Clare Johnson for the County Hospital. Administration, clerical and secretarial support is provided to both sites and teams by an A&C team. All Staff must be courteous to patients, their carer's, the general public, other staff and contacts external to the Trust at all times. GCSE English Grade C / 4 and above or equivalent or evidence of good literacy - GCSE Maths Grade C / 4 and above or equivalent or evidence of good numeracy

- GCSE Science's Grade C / 4 and above
- A Level / NVQ Qualification Experience Essential
