Full Job Description

RPS is looking for a Senior Town Planner to join our City Planning Team based in London (Farringdon). The range of work on offer is wide and varied and will provide you with rich experience in town planning.

Working alongside a range of multi-disciplinary services within a team of planning experts, you'll have the opportunity to deliver on a broad range of planning applications including residential, mixed-use developments, data centres, airports, retail, logistics and major infrastructure projects.

With our planning service at the heart of the business, the role will give you a progressive step-up in managing planning casework independently and help towards defining a career pathway towards promotion.

What you'll be doing

· Supporting Planning Directors' in successfully delivering their planning caseload

· Developing your written and oral communication skills

· Directly engaging in our business development initiatives

· Actively supporting our Planners, Assistant Planners, Graduates and Apprentices

· A fully qualified RTPI chartered town planner

· Ability to work under tight deadlines in a corporate environment

· A passion for planning, development and environmental issues

· A good working knowledge of planning policy

· Attention to detail and a proactive mindset

· A strategic thinker and someone who can readily problem solve

· A market awareness and a good understanding of local planning issues, Disability Confident
