Full Job Description

Applications are invited for a new Senior Training Fellow Trust Doctor to support our Medical Division in Acute will work under consultant supervision and within a dedicated team at all times. There will be requirement to work weekends and bank holidays on a rotational order to be considered applicants must have FULL GMC Registration, Basic Life Support and have previous experience of working in the NHS., The post would suit doctors from the UK or abroad that may be at various stages of their career and would include, The post holder will be working with a team of Consultants, Specialty Doctors, Trust Doctors, Specialty Trainees, Core Trainees and Foundation Trainees. Each post has a generic clinical component in the relevant area. In addition the post holder will have an agreed experience in the specialty of their choice including outpatient clinics, ward cover, specialist in-patient reviews and procedures, audit and research. It is prudent to be a team player with excellent inter-personal skills.

  • Doctors who have completed their basic medical degree (MBBS) and the Foundation Programme or equivalent (currently holding full GMC registration), or 3 years of overseas continuous clinical experience post-qualification
  • Have completed ST1 / ST2 level training
  • Doctors who have completed a recognised post-graduate qualification in General Medicine or allied specialties and are seeking further specialization or qualification or both as well as UK NHS experience
  • The programme is standard for both UK and Overseas doctors, there being no differentiation or discrimination., Essential
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration
  • advanced life support
  • MRCP part1 / part2 written or equivalent examination cleared.
  • Desirable
  • Awards / distinctions whilst studying for 1st degree
  • CLINICAL EXPERIENCE Essential
  • Minimum of 2-3 years Senior House Officer / CMT or clear demonstration of equivalent experience.
  • 1-year in a substantive post within the UK or clear demonstration of equivalent experience elsewhere.
  • Desirable
  • Experience of teaching medical students
  • Audit and Research in the specialty
