We're looking for you to bring our places to life in ways that engage a whole range of different audiences. You'll collaborate with colleagues and work with volunteers to ensure that every aspect of the visitor experience is crafted by our story and delivers an outstanding experience to everyone, every time. You'll be required to work occasional weekends as well as some evenings during seasonal programming such as the Winter light trail. Working pattern is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday unless required to be Duty manager which could be any weekday as required including Saturdays. There is some flexibility in days which can be discussed at interview stage. We're ambitious too, with ongoing work to explore new ways of engaging our audiences with this special place. This quintessential English country house is a busy and vibrant place to be. Last year Belton House welcomed 450,000 visitors through its doors and numbers are growing fast. As one of the busiest properties within the National Trust Belton is open 364 days per year and your role will include duty management responsibilities., You'll work with the Visitor Operations and Experiences Manager to ensure every aspect of the visitor experience is a high-quality experience and shaped by our story. This will involve working collaboratively across property to deliver improvements across different departments, supporting the delivery of a smooth visitor operation. You'll be responsible for delivering elements of our core visitor programme and designing and implementing other high-quality seasonal programmes - seeking to find new ways to inspire others, engage visitors with our work and tell our stories. You'll need to have a flexible approach and be willing to 'muck-in' from time to time and generally support the smooth running of the site. Responsibilities of the Duty manager is to manage the whole property site from opening to close. Duties include ensuring all departments have adequate cover for visitor numbers, ensuring presentation standards and visitor facilities are maintained as well as reacting to any issues raised by property team members
