Full Job Description

The Service Asset and Configuration Management Lead is the owner of all SACM processes (HAM, SAM and Configuration Management) at Sellafield Ltd. The SACM Lead will therefore be responsible and accountable for the effectiveness and efficiency of these processes, as well as governing the standards that ICT and Suppliers must adhere to. This role will appeal to an individual looking to put their wealth of experience in IT Asset Management in to practice in a complex industry and thrive in the challenges this presents. We want you to shape, drive and pioneer a multi-faceted IT Service Delivery model and achieve an amazing career milestone along the way.,

  • Ownership and accountability for the HAM, SAM and Configuration Management processes.
  • Set the SACM Strategy.
  • Advise both ICT colleagues and Suppliers on SACM strategy and priorities.
  • Represent the SACM team at governance meetings.
  • Line management of up to 10 team members across the Asset Management teams., As part of the application process you will be asked to provide evidence of your qualifications. Attaching them at application stage will ensure a smooth process and prevent delays.

    Subject Matter Expert in Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management and Configuration Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of Service Management Best Practice.
  • Experience of managing Tier 1 suppliers in a SIAM-style context.
  • Ability to drive service improvement activities with multiple stakeholders.
  • Team management and leadership experience.
  • Experience of implementing and embedding new IT Service Management processes.
  • Good communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding and experience of Service Management Toolsets and related HAM/SAM/Configuration Mgmt. tools e.g. CMDB, asset discovery, software licensing, PoE, Active Directory etc.
