Purpose of the role
• This role is a key member of the team, providing assistance and guidance to 10 unaccompanied asylum seeking young people within a 24 hour supported accommodation setting.
• The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering nurturing person centred support that is bespoke to suit the needs of each individual accessing the service.
• The support should assist residents in developing the skills required to settle in to a new area, overcome barriers and learn skills towards independence.
• Some young people may have experienced significant trauma in their home country and on their journey to the UK.
• The post holder must be empathetic, knowledgeable and professional in understanding the specific needs of asylum seeking adolescents transitioning into adulthood.
• Speakers of other languages would be an advantage (especially Arabic) but not essential.
• You will be expected to contribute to the maintenance and development of the Association's values, culture and ethos.
  
  Salary up to £23,985 per annum for 37.5 hours per week,
