Full Job Description
This post will play an important role in providing support to deliver projects across weight management, obesity, stop smoking, tobacco control and physical activity. These are all areas of high priority which have been prioritised in the PH strategy and the Health and Wellbeing Strategy. This will be a permanent position and will report to the Public Health Lead (Health Improvement).
The post will be responsible for some of the following:
+ Development and coordination of exercise on referral programme, working with Active Derbyshire, LLBD hub, district and borough leisure partners, social prescribers.
+ Development and support of new LLBD new maternal healthy weight and physical activity project. This will involve working with the steering group, Public Health 0-19 team, community midwifery and other partners to develop marketing approaches, signposting information and other required activities to support and develop this workstream.
+ Working with school catering on a new approach to cook and eat sessions and developing related information and materials.
+ Support and development of projects related to tobacco control and stop smoking services.
+ Working with public health practitioners, service managers and public health leads within health improvement, and across wider public health- on a range of projects relevant to health improvement.
+ Matrix work with localities programme where required.
+ Line management of staff as required.
