Full Job Description

The Southern Hub of the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme is seeking to appoint a Service Improvement Team Leader., The Service Improvement Lead will support the development and implementation of annual Hub action plans and initiatives to improve Service delivery with a specific focus currently on increasing uptake of Bowel Cancer Screening, particularly amongst low uptake groups. They will work alongside the Service Development Lead in the operation of letter room functions and support the Deputy Hub Manager in the coordination of training to the wider team to support overall quality improvement.

Applicants must have proven experience of producing reports, managing performance and working in a multidisciplinary team.

You will be an enthusiastic and capable team player who is looking for a new challenge. You will need to be committed to making and sustaining improvements with an approach that brings the best out of other people. Working with the three other Team Leaders, the role is varied and includes supervision / mentoring of the Hub's Screening Officers.

The screening programme provides screening for all people aged 54-74 and is in the final stages of expanding this further to 50 year olds. The Southern Hub serves an area of the South of England with a population of 15.9 million people. The Team are based on the Surrey Research Park in dedicated facilities with free parking on site, Royal Surrey is a compassionate and collaborative acute and community Trust.
