Full Job Description

  • Provide support to the Care Groups management and clinical teams to ensure delivery of efficient and effective projects to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to support organisational development and with finance colleagues to ensure any service change delivers value for money and quality improvement.
  • Be responsible for planning, facilitating and delivering specific projects, using appropriate tools and techniques which facilitate optimum operational performance and quality improvement.
  • Utilise appropriate methodology to focus change and improvement initiatives on meeting a range of improvement outcomes; improved clinical outcomes, enhanced patient experience, patient safety, and service efficiency.
  • Provide quality improvement advice and analysis to project teams to support decision making.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to agree project scoping, collect data, deliver improvement workshops, support staff to own and implement change and monitor the outcomes of the service improvement projects.

    The post holder will be responsible for the project management of designated projects within the 24/25 cancer improvement programme. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work well with others, develop excellent engagement with stakeholders and strong collaborative networks.
  • The post holder will have an understanding of quality improvement methodology and a record of delivering service improvements. Knowledge of project management principles and practice and how they deliver successful projects is essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to analyse complex information and produce concise communications. This is an excellent development opportunity to work on the cancer improvement programme delivering improvements to patient pathways, enhancing the patient experience.

Specialist Regional Services We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
