An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Infection, Prevention and Control (IP&C) Team at Bart's Health NHS Trust (BH), this post is based at The Royal London Hospital. You will be joining a supportive team who value the contributions of each team member to help deliver our overall aims and objectives in line with the Trust vision "to provide every patient with the care we want for those we love the most", specifically by reducing the risks of healthcare associated infections. The team has a highly visible role working in all areas throughout the BH and comprises of IP&C nurses, IPC Doctor, Hospital Directors of IP&C, and administrative staff. We welcome and encourage innovative ideas and the team is comprised of individuals from a range of clinical backgrounds and experience which proves a great asset as we continually review our practice and interventions.

If you are a motivated, enthusiastic and an inspiring leader who can be an example to others at all times we want you for this role., Nurse, IPC Clinical Leads and Lead IPC Doctor the post holder will be responsible for the coordination and development of quality infection prevention & control service in their allocated site (The Royal London / Mile End Hospitals), providing leadership, support and guidance to all trust staff and ensuring a patient focused service.

The post includes providing clinical and managerial leadership to the Infection Prevention & Control Senior Nursing Team. The post holder will practice at an advanced level of autonomy and clinical decision making. They will work as a highly specialised member of the Infection Prevention and Control Team, to assist in containing and reducing the incidence of infection across the Trust, through risk assessment, surveillance, audit, intervention and education. The role is a collaborative one, working with individuals and groups across professional and organisational boundaries.
