Full Job Description

Whitworth House is an all-female Supported Housing Scheme 18 - 24yrs, offering temporary accommodation and support to 15 young women, for up to 2 years.

The aim of the Service is to provide our young women with a safe and supportive environment where individuals can work towards gaining all the necessary independent living skills to lead more fulfilled lives within the community and move on to sustainable independent living and planned resettlement.
You will ensure that our service users receive an excellent level of support that uses a strengths-based approach and centered around their aims and aspirations.

You will ensure our support staff work alongside our service users so that they feel safe, happy with the service they are receiving and have the widest opportunities available to them to enhance their lives.
You will understand and implement trauma informed approaches. You will support staff to work with people with complex and emotional needs.

The Role…
As part of this role, you will:

  • Lead on the delivery of a strengths-based support service placing our customers at the centre of all that we do.

  • Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through robust quality assurance and reflective practice.

  • Deliver a robust housing management service, ensuring maximising of income and good budgetary control.

  • Lead on the delivery of a safe environment that adheres to all health and safety legislation and embeds safe process and policy.

  • Lead on local collaboration within your local area and ensure the widest partnership working to enhance and support our service delivery.

  • Inspire and motivate your team through robust support and coaching, reflective practice, training, and development.

  • GCSE Maths and English (grades A-C / 9-4 or equivalent)

  • A full driving licence is essential, Please notice Orwell Housing Association does not provide visa sponsorship. You must be eligible to work in the UK to apply. You will be required to provide the relevant right to work documentation if successfully appointed to the role.
