Full Job Description

We are recruiting a Service Manager for the Integrated Sexual Health Service in North Central London and the HIV services, delivered from the Mortimer Market Centre. The post holder will have managerial responsibility for the planning and operational delivery of sexual health and HIV services. Together with the other Service Mangers in the North Central London area, and the senior leadership team, they will ensure that services are effective and meet quality, financial and commissioning standards and targets and meet the needs of patients., The post holder has managerial responsibility for the effective operational running of the service and to ensure there is robust financial management in line with Service, Divisional and Trust targets.
The post holder will work with the Deputy Service Director to ensure that the strategic direction is effectively implemented at an operational level.
The post holder is a member of the senior leadership team and has a responsibility to participate in the management of the service and provide sound advice and guidance to the leadership team.

CNWL provides Sexual Health and HIV Services across North Central London and in Surrey. As well as clinic based services, the service also delivers community health promotion outreach, a dedicated young people's service and Learning Disabilities services.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Ensure effective performance management and leadership of the workforce.

  • Deliver effective leadership and direction to Team Managers.

  • Ensure services are cost effective and delivered within budget.

  • Lead change management in the implementation of service development strategies.

  • Create a culture in which innovative ideas and strategies can flourish and provide vision and inspiration to enable staff to deliver care

  • more effectively.
  • Deliver robust financial management in line with targets, including the Cost Improvement Programme (CIP).

  • Ensure services meet care quality and performance management standards.

  • Represent the service at external meetings.
