Full Job Description

As the Service Manager for West Sussex, you will oversee, shape, and develop our housing and community services. You will be responsible for our contracts with partner agencies and commissioners, developing coaching models and delivering behaviour change programmes. You will also be responsible for managing our expanding housing portfolio and housing related support services. You will have responsibility for planning, delivering, and monitoring services, operationally and financially. You will work with those who are socially marginalised, stigmatised and have a lack of social support but who have begun a journey of change, recovery, and rehabilitation. You will lead on the recruitment, training and development of staff and provide values based, clear and passion driven operational leadership to your teams.

You will be a strong values-led operational leader with:

  • Experience of managing staff in demanding environments including completing probation reviews, supervisions and appraisals.
  • A passion for developing services and staff to be the best they can be.
  • Experience of developing partnerships and working collaboratively with other organisations.
  • Experience of managing contracts, service agreements and performance monitoring systems, using data collection systems, and translating data output into meaningful, clear information.
  • The ability to work flexibly and autonomously, managing your own diary based on service needs., If successful in securing an interview we will need to ask you about any unspent convictions as part of our duty of care. A criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent you from being offered a role; the decision will depend on the type of offence and its relevance to the role. All of our roles require a criminal record check.

Emerging Futures works nationally with people affected by addiction, encouraging them to make positive changes to their lives.
  • We believe that no one should suffer the stigma associated with addiction, and that everyone seeking support should feel valued and respected. We provide homes for people to connect with others and make the necessary changes to move towards independent, healthy living. Our behaviour change services provide a confidential space to share experiences, and offer practical support to those who want to change. The Emerging Futures accredited coach training develops the skills of our volunteers, motivating people to give back and reconnect with their community.
