Full Job Description

As Service Manager for Surgery, you will be responsible for the effective operational management of specialties within Clinical Group A which consists of a number of key surgical specialties., + The post holder will support the division in leading and managing the performance of the clinical specialties in the delivery of planned service capacity through the effective use of resources.
+ To manage the performance of the clinical specialties against local and national qualitative and quantitative service targets and within the Trust's financial allocations.
+ To lead and manage the assessment of complex operational issues and challenges facing the Directorate. This will demand high levels of judgment, analysis and interaction to agree clear solutions and recommendations that the post holder will be responsible for implementing.
+ To provide effective and innovative leadership and management, ensuring clear direction concerning service improvement and effective utilisation of resources.
