We are excited to advertise the role of Service Manager for the Croydon Assessment and Liaison Service. This is an exciting time to join the service as we engage in a process of continuous improvement to deliver the ambitions of the Trusts "Aiming High Changing Lives" and the NHS Long Term plan.
We are particularly interested in hearing from dynamic and enthusiastic applicants who enjoy participating in a range of quality improvement initiatives and project management.
The successful candidates will be an inclusive and collaborative leader, with the ability to influence and encourage teams to work effectively with partners across traditional organisational boundaries to uphold and deliver high standards of quality care for Croydon Residents. The candidate will need to be passionate about the delivery of high-quality patient care and have experience in leadership. The post holder needs to be able to work autonomously as well as part of multi professional teams., The Service Manager for the Assessment and Liaison Service will:
+ Oversee the Assessment and Liaison Service, which is made up of three locality based teams; North, South and Central.
+ Maintain high performance and quality standards to ensure early access and optimal outcomes for service users.
+ Drive continuous improvement of the service.
+ Liaise with stakeholders to ensure co-production and collaboration throughout the organization.
+ Foster a psychologically safe environment where staff feel valued and can contribute effectively., The Croydon Assessment & Liaison Team is divided into three teams, each aligned with GP practices within the borough. The team provides community services to working-age adults (18-65 years) experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues, offering specialist assessment and brief intervention. The team collaborates with the Croydon Council providing a front Door service to screen, review, and redirect individuals seeking support, and work closely with GP mental health practitioners to ensure quick access to mental health services.
Responsibilities of the Post-Holder:
+ Lead the Croydon Assessment and Liaison Team, coordinating, developing, and managing the service's strategic and operational plans.
+ Manage clinical teams to achieve integrated clinical, operational, quality, and financial outcomes.
+ Utilise data for demand and capacity management.
+ Ensure systematic clinical governance of both personal and team practices.
+ Engage in continuous professional development, including management and clinical supervision.
+ Ensure staff have access to robust supervision.
+ Coordinate and plan specialist service components, considering team training, skill mix, and experience.
+ Collaborate on service development with senior colleagues within the directorate.
+ Ensure high-quality specialist assessments for referred individuals.
+ Provide high-quality group and individual clinical interventions.
+ Maintain professional relationships with mental health workers across the system, including the voluntary sector and social care.
+ Develop good relationships with service users and carers, ensuring their involvement in developmental and change programs.
+ Work alongside the PCN Band 8b Psychologist to enhance link-working with primary care services for Croydon residents.
