Full Job Description

We are looking for someone to join us to support the operational management team and support as the Service Manager for Neurology. This will be a 6 month secondment initially with a possibility to extend.,

  • Line Management and budget holder for the Neurology Service within the Business Unit
  • Co-ordinating the delivery of key performance management targets
  • Lead on specific areas of service development and transformation, supporting the Deputy General Manager (and wider team), ensuring proposals and solutions concerning key national and local initiatives are taken forward.
  • Please ensure that you have the support of your line manager for a secondment before you apply.
  • The Service Manager is a key member of the Business Unit and is responsible for supporting the senior management team over the range of their responsibilities

    We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrable management and operational experience. It is essential you haven an understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the NHS, which is essential to the role.
  • You will have proven experience in delivery of change and a sound understanding of NHS targets and the current pressures.
