Service Manager for Fostering - Planning for Permanence and Short Breaks An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced leader to join Blackpool Borough Council as a Service Manager for Fostering - Planning for Permanence and Short Breaks. This role is your chance to inspire and lead a team of dedicated, skilled staff and carers, who are passionate about providing children and young people the opportunity to flourish and fulfil their true potential. We are dedicated to working in partnership with our partners to focus on childrens and family strengths, working within our Blackpool Families Rock model of practice and to provide Our Children with stability and quality support plans. Blackpool Childrens Services aims to support practitioners to work in partnership with families to ensure that, where appropriate, children and young people are cared for by their family. When this is not an option for the child we seek to support them within an alternative family care arrangement or fostering family wherever possible. You will be instrumental in developing and delivering our newly established Fostering recruitment HUB and Mockingbird model and to help shape, influence, and implement the future growth and development of the wider Fostering Service. You will supervise Team Managers who are responsible for the recruitment and support of foster carers, assessment of kinship carers within care proceedings and the subsequent support to these kinship carers as connected carers or under a Special Guardianship Order.

This post is subject to satisfactory reference history of at least two years, Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, medical clearance, evidence of any essential qualifications and proof of Right to Work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
