Full Job Description

This is a really exciting time to join the MMO as we become an independent coastal state, embedding new repatriated functions and services with an increased focus on the protection and enhancing of the marine environment. The Digital and IT Service Management team is part of the Digital and Analysis Directorate which is responsible for the delivery, continuity and improvement of MMO's digital services. Job description
Accountabilities and responsibilities
+ Work closely with business specialists/service designers to translate business requirements and user needs into new services or enhancements to existing services and user experience
+ Create and manage service backlogs, prioritising effectively in conjunction with key stakeholders against a wide range of factors, whilst actively leading supplier delivery
+ Agree and manage user story sign off, including prioritisation for sprint planning.
+ Create and maintain strong and effective stakeholder engagement with a range of business and programme partners.
+ Analyse end to end digital user journeys using evidence and analytics, ensuring user researcher findings are captured and reviewed against the user experience design
+ Create multi-channel support models for services working with wider delivery partners
+ Proactively identify problems and issues that may affect the successful adoption of the service
+ Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure that the team’s plans and objectives are achieved
+ Gather and analyse data on costs, benefits and service performance to inform and drive continuous improvement
+ Understand the holistic picture of MMO service delivery and technical plans to ensure cross service impacting and analysis occurs
+ Communicate credibly with a wide range of digital delivery partners both internally and external.

+ An awareness of Agile methodology / ways of working
+ Ability to proactively and effectively collaborate with all members of a multidisciplinary team
+ Ability to clearly communicate at all levels, translating technical information for non-technical audiences
+ Being able to focus on internal / external user needs to deliver and continuously improve user centric services
+ Ability to translate business requirements into user stories, including clear acceptance criteria to ensure agreed delivery conditions are met
+ Being able to quickly problem solve or change priorities in partnership with stakeholders, using a wide spectrum of data and analytics to inform and present options
+ Ability to plan and monitor IT partner / supplier delivery
+ Being able to partner our testing team, to plan and oversee all aspects of testing and defect management to assure planned releases and deployments

Experience Needed For The Role
Essential
+ Experience of working with, analysing and communicating data to a range of audiences
+ Experience of communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
+ Experience of delivering transformational change
+ Experience of working in a fast-paced multidisciplinary, being able to change your delivery focus rapidly and regularly when needed
+ Demonstrable experience of building a culture of continuous delivery and improvement, ensuring that data is regularly analysed, maintained and improved
+ An understanding of user centric design, personal data, digital transactions, security and privacy.
Desirable
+ Experience of working in digital delivery
+ Experience of digital collaboration tools e.g. JIRA /Dev Ops
+ Experience of producing and / or contributing to a range of documentation that may include presentations, briefings, business cases, contracts, Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
