Full Job Description
Our greenspaces are a key part in what makes North Herts a great place to live and work. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior greenspace professional to shape the future of our greenspace provision, including parks, playing fields, playgrounds, woodlands, cemeteries, and nature reserves. You will have responsibility for their maintenance and development, working alongside contractors and other partners. You will also act as the Council's professional adviser on green space and provide advice on green infrastructure for new housing developments.
You will be an experienced Greenspace leader, with significant experience of managing large contracts and budgets, as well as managing greenspace development projects. You will also have significant experience of developing strategies and action plans and of successful performance management. You will have excellent technical knowledge of greenspace and be our subject expert.
You will have the skills to lead and motivate a team, ability to work in partnership with stakeholders and have a customer focused attitude.
