Full Job Description

To support the Chief Operating Officer in the delivery of services. This will involve delivering against targets, ensuring the provision of high-quality services to patients, General Practitioners (GPs) and clinical teams. The post holder will also be responsible for the day to day running of the service and ensure these are managed in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints. The post holder will also be responsible for the supervision of the administrative staff, ensuring human resource (HR) policies are adhered to and clinic utilisation and wait times remain in line with set key performance indicators (KPIs). The post holder will be included on the weekend on call rota, rotated between the BGPA service managers., Maximise the practices income from the APMS Contract, monitor performance against planned outcomes & take appropriate action to correct deviations.

Planning & management of QOF workload, delegation of areas of responsibility/duties to staff & doctor teams, monitoring progress & monthly reporting to CEO & Directors, ensuring plans are carried out & corrective action taken to maximise achievement

Ensure the practices allocation of NHS resources is fair & equitable at a local lev

Ensure effective processes & procedures are in place to collate, monitor & track performance.

Problem solve day to day management issues, organising & reallocating work where situations change due to variations to the work load & staffing availability

Resolve day-to-day operational issues within the services provided by BGPA escalating when deemed necessary

Manage the service clinical staff teams annual & study leave requests

Undertake/coordinate service related projects

Provide cover & support to other managers when required & to manage any urgent service requirements, escalating where necessary

Follow correct process to ensure all requests for clinic cancellations are made in a timely fashion & ensure sufficient cover provision reducing the impact of service delivery

Ensure that rotas are managed and filled accordingly & that relevant cover is in place

Participate & support with service audits as directed by the clinical leads
