Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Service Manager to join the Service Management team. This role works collaboratively with projects teams, technical colleagues, and business stakeholders to act as a technology specialist, a key point of contact for all Santander UK Technology related services, contracts, and technologies. It establishes and maintains ITSM discipline for the critical services with SLAs, metrics, and targets. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of IT Services to one or more of Santander UK clients. A multi-faceted role where individuals will utilise their skills and knowledge in IT service, organisation, and people to achieve exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction. The difference you'll make:

  • Acting as a technology specialist, a key point of contact for all Santander (UK) Clients related services, contracts, and technologies
  • Establishing and maintaining TSM discipline for the critical services with SLAs, metrics, and targets
  • Working across the organisation to represent and provide value to their client(s)
  • Understanding and leading the technology roadmap in line with the IT and Service Strategy
  • Maintaining and appropriately challenging commercially viable services for the business

    Experience working in a Service Management or similar role
  • Experience of successfully analysing, developing, and implementing projects, changes and agile releases without incident
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and technologies used to deliver services
  • Relationship building and influencing skills; together with the ability to work closely with Technology teams
  • Great governance and process adherence; with the ability to deliver an excellent customer service experience
  • Ability to manage under pressure and multitask (multiple projects seeking to go live at once)
  • It would also be nice for you to have:
  • ITIL V3 Foundation/ITIL V4 Foundation or above
  • Knowledge and understanding of project delivery methodologies, i.e., Agile, Waterfall
  • Problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management toolsets such as Service Now or equivalent
  • What else you need to know: This role is based in Milton Keynes. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

    1st Stage - Technical Interview - this will a 30min technical interview with one of the team 2nd Stage - A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions.
