Full Job Description

It is a really exciting time for the service as we focus on improving our quality of practice, strengthening our partnership working & effectiveness and ensuring that plans for children are meeting their needs and keeping them safe. We are looking for a strong leader with extensive practice knowledge to be able to lead the service.

This is a critical role in the day to day leadership and management of Independent Reviewing Officers (IRO's) and Child Protection Conference Chairs and also driving the development of the service in line with the service plan and identified priorities.

The Safeguarding Service is aligned with the Practice Improvement and Learning Service and the Strategic Safeguarding Partnership business unit and this has resulted in partnership working and connections have strengthened and more collaborative working is taking place.
