Full Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Service Manager for our supported living service in Rugeley.

Golden Living Care Services LTD specializes in supporting adults with complex needs (including, but not limited to, Autistic Spectrum Condition, Learning Disability, and Mental Health) to live their best possible life. You will work closely with your team of Support staff, ensuring that people we support receive care to highest standards.

At our services we encourage people we support to go out to community, cinema, theatre or wherever they wish to be. Your responsibility will be providing all support required, educating and guiding support staff, so that people we support can life in the way they wish and are at the centre of what we do. We are looking for a positive role model and someone who has a minimum of 2 years' experience in supported living setting. You will be responsible for creating an environment where people we support can control their own lives by demonstrating and promoting the value of diversity and individuality. You will help to devise imaginative, fun, and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability.

THE JOB

Ensure we meet the highest quality and standards including risk assessments, support plans and person-centred plans.

Carry out regular checks on all records and files in relations to the people we support.

Oversee the production of weekly rotas,

Build good relationships with commissioners, professionals, families, support staff, neighbours, and the wider community.

Seek opportunities to develop and improve services and challenge poor practice.

Participate in an on-call rota system and provide hands on support when required.

Staff management including performance management, staff training, observations, and disciplinary meetings.

Proven experience at Service/Team Manager or Team leader within Learning disabilities and/or mental health.

Experience of supporting people that suffer from mental health and can demonstrate behaviours that challenge.

Knowledge of CQC requirements and best practice.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Accurate report writing skills and attention to detail.

Strong people manager with a positive and motivated approach to lead by example.

Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Driving licence would be desirable, support worker: 2 years (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
