| Salary £44,711 - £49,764 per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | FM Service: Finance & Commercialisation Directorate / Premises & Schools Catering | County Hall, Preston, Our Facilities Management Service has an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Manager to join our Facilities Management Service Support Team. The role requires excellent knowledge of both finance and commercial activity and to work as a technical reference point in the management of service budgets.
The role is also a direct line manager for a small team of professional staff and semi-professionals delivering a focussed service of a business and technical support function across the whole of the Facilities Management Service. The team is responsible for the finance elements of property budgets, schools catering trading monitoring, procurement, and providing financial management support to the wider facilities management service.
The post holder will be a member of the Facilities Management Senior Management Team and will be directly involved with the commercial performance of the Schools Catering Service and for the financial management of the Facilities Management Premises budget. This includes financial data analysis, reporting and forecasting which requires working directly with Finance Business Partners.
The nature of the role means practice will not always follow established precedent and there will be some freedom in how to achieve end results. A highly proactive approach is required and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment working to tight deadlines with multiple and concurrent activity.
The use of professional judgement, advanced financial management and people leadership skills are key elements of the role. Extensive knowledge and experience of financial systems and competency in using other relevant systems is required in relation to all aspects of operational budgets and analytics of data relating to Facilities Management Service deliverables.
The post is a permanent, full-time position, of 37 hours per week, based at County Hall Complex in Preston. The working hours are flexible, with an agreed balance of working on site and remote working, in line with business need, which includes to ensure a balanced approach across the team.
