We have a fantastic opportunity available for someone looking to take the next step in their career.

We are recruiting to the position of Service Unit Manager for our Leaving Care Service in Tameside. This represents a real opportunity for the right person to help us to achieve our ambitions through inspirational leadership and a passion and ambition to support young people who are care leavers and care experienced to achieve and work towards independence. The role requires effective partnership working with a broad range of agencies and organisations and a determined focus on placing young people at the heart of what we do.

This is a key role and will provide day to day leadership and strategic support whilst taking overall day to day operational managerial oversight for a very busy service. You will manage four team managers who each have a staff team and discrete areas of service development focus.

We are looking for candidates with relevant social work qualification and successful track record of managing a social work team in a public service organisation. You will be an effective leader with a determination to raise standards and achieve improved outcomes, as well as a clear and lateral thinker, able to be an affective decision-maker in a complex and challenging environment., Our employees' skills, experience and knowledge are essential to our success along with their happiness, wellbeing, commitment, enthusiasm and motivation to be the best they can be.
